The Good Samaritan Association was born in the heart of its founder Magdalena Torres in January 1991 in response to the growing neglect of many children.  These children were abandoned for many of the following reasons:  family breakdowns, domestic violence, inadequate housing, alcoholism, drug additions and many other social-economic problems. 

This organization started 19 years ago as a government daycare.  Due to the increasing need, the organization had to cut its ties to the government as it was only allowed 20 children in the daycare.

Year after year the number of beneficiaries has increased – so that we currently (2009) have 150 children under our care.
